As the one-year anniversary of the passing of Daddy Lumba draws near, his children say they are committed to ensuring his influence and memory remain firmly rooted for generations.
Speaking in a recent interview on DLFM, his first son, Calvin Fosu, revealed that the siblings have come together around a common goal to preserve and properly project their father’s legacy.
He indicated that the family is intent on protecting the body of work the celebrated musician built over decades, along with his wider impact on Ghana’s music and entertainment culture.

“We definitely want our father to be remembered the right way for the next hundred years and beyond. And this time we, as the kids, want to go forward and do this together, and do it as united as possible to make sure that the one year will be for everyone to remember him the right way,” he stated.
Calvin further explained that the planned memorial events marking the one-year milestone will reflect a united effort by the siblings to honour their father’s life, achievements, and lasting imprint on music lovers across generations.
Daddy Lumba, regarded as one of the most influential figures in Ghanaian highlife, leaves behind a catalogue of timeless classics that continue to resonate widely both in Ghana and beyond.
