Zylofon Media signed musicians Kumi Guitar and Obibini failed to perform at the recently held Becca @ 10 concert which happened on Saturday, October 21 at the National Theater.

This action which happened at the event put together by Zylofon Media has generated the question why the company did not allow its signed musicians to perform at the event it organised. The issue of both musicians not performing at the event has become issue for discussing on major entertainment platforms with many talking against the inability of the two acts performing at the concert.

Zylofon Media, organisers of the show has explained why the two musicians were not allowed to perform at the concert organized to celebrate Rebecca Akosua Acheampomaa Acheampong. Head of Communication at Zylofon Media, Samuel Atuobi Baah speaking to Zionfelix on Radio Univers’ Brunch2Lunch entertainment show stated that instrumentalists who were to perform with the two musicians were arrested on their way to the National Theater for the show.

He added that both artistes were to do a duet on the night but the arrest of their bandsmen caused their inability to perform. Mr Atuobi Baah continued that the bandsmen after hours of delay during their unfortunate encounter with the police got to the National Theater late.

The PRO further stated that Zylofon Media, organisers of the show tried their best to find time for their signed musicians to perform on the night but all their efforts proved futile due to the tall list of musicians they billed for the decade celebration.

Sammy Flex as he is fondly called admitted their mistake and apologised to the fans of both Kumi Guitar and Obibini for not allowing their heroes to perform at the Becca @ 10 concert.

“Obibini and Kumi Guitar were to perform together with their bandsmen. Unfortunately for Kumi and Obibini, their bandsmen had a problem with the police on their way to the event ground concerning the car they were driving. This encounter with the police delayed them so they were not available at the time the two musicians were supposed to be on stage.

When they finally arrived and were ready to perform, we as Zylofon Media saw that it was very late for them to be on stage because there were many musicians backstage ready to entertain the crowd.

We also realised that the people left at the venue at the time they were ready to perform was not right audience for them so we just had to stop them.” Samuel Baah told Zionfelix on Radio Univers’ mid-morning show on Monday morning.

Aside Kumi Guitar and Obibini Boafo, other musicians who were billed to perform at the show but never appeared on the stage of the concert were M.anifest, Edem and Trigmatic.

Becca @ 10 concert had tall list of Ghanaian and Nigerian musicians entertain their fans at the National Theater on Saturday, October 21 2017.
