Fast-rising Ghanaian highlife musician, Fameye has opened up on why stopped going to church.
Speaking in an interview on UTV’s ‘Atuu’ program with Abeiku Santana, the ‘Notin I Get’ composer revealed how an action by some women at the church forced him to stop attending church services.
“I don’t go to church but I pray a lot…I stopped going to church after my hairstyle was constantly criticized…some women in the church always complained about my hairstyle and the way I wear earrings. I got tired of the criticisms so I stopped attending church,” he stated.
After he shared his experience, Abeiku Santana invited him to join him at his church because nobody will care about what he wears.
Fameye was named as the Best New Artiste of the Year at the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
