Nigerian highlife music sensation Chinedu Okoli, better known by his stage name Flavour N’abania 0r simply Flavour has given some accolades to Ghanaian music genre highlife as he has revealed that Ghanaians are neck deep into highlife contrary to what most Nigerians are saying about the genre’s origin.

“…Ghana is deep in highlife I must say…” Flavour stated.

Flavour made this revelation in an interview with JoyNewsMzGee after his performance at the recent ‘Glo Laffta and Music Fest’. The ‘Ashawo’ hitmaker disclosed that he goes through the repertoire of Ghanaian highlife musicians to augment his style.

When MzGee pushed Flavour a little further to mention some name of Ghanaian highlife musicians he likes, he stated that he can’t mention a single name because those he admires are many.

“There are so many of them, I cannot say just one. I’m in love with all of them. Ghana is deep in highlife,” Flavour added.

Flavour again in the interview JoyNews’ MzGee at the ‘Glo Laffta and Music Fest’ at the Fantasy Dome, revealed that he takes inspiration from Ghanaian highlife.

“Ghanaians are deep in highlife and that’s my style so I had to go through the repertoire of great Ghanaian musicians. They are awesome people,” he said.
