Former Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC), Akua Djanie, well known as Akua Blakofe, has asked Ex-President John Dramani Mahama to forgive her.

After wishing the former President a happy birthday in a post sighted by Zionfelix.net, Madam Blakofe said she has regretted playing a role which led to Nana Akufo-Addo being voted to power.

While asking for forgiveness, she indicated that there was corruption during Ex-President Mahama’s era but what she has witnessed under the Akufo government outweighs the former.

Akua Blakofe emphasized on her regrets stating that she wouldn’t have done that if she knew it would end like this.

She wrote: “Happy birthday Former President Mahama of Ghana. Enjoy your day. And forgive me personally for helping to bring Nana to power. Yes, there was corruption under you but it’s nothing compared to the person we replaced you with. Had I known… Anyway, happy birthday.”
