Ghanaian actor, musician, and entrepreneur, Frank Naro, known in private life as Frank Osei, has made a shocking announcement to enter the political arena by contesting as an independent candidate in the upcoming 2024 general elections in Ghana.

The Ejisu constituency, currently represented in Ghana’s parliament by the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) John Ampontuah Kumah, a prominent figure in Ghanaian politics, is set to witness a new contender in the form of Frank Naro.

Hon. Kumah, also Ghana’s Deputy Finance Minister, holds the parliamentary seat in this constituency, and Frank Naro’s decision to run as an independent candidate introduces a new dynamic to the political landscape.

In his announcement, Frank Naro expressed his commitment to the youth of Ghana and the constituents of Ejisu.

His slogan, “Arise Ghana Youth,” reflects his dedication to empowering the younger generation and contributing to the strengthening of the nation.

It also appears Naro’s vision extends beyond personal ambition, emphasizing a collective effort of all the people in his constituency to uplift the country.

This move by Frank Naro aligns him with a growing trend of entertainers venturing into politics. Notable figures such as John Dumelo, Kwame A Plus, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin, and others have in theast few months taken the leap into seeking to enter into parliament, bringing a unique blend of charisma and public influence to the political sphere.
