Ghanaian actress Gloria Osei Sarfo who has been in the movie industry for over a decade is not pleased about the ongoing social media fight between Sista Afia, Efia Odo, and Fella Makafui, Zionfelix.net can say.
The ‘Efiewura’ actress wants the three to stop trading insults because it is disgracing the creative arts industry. Miss Osei Sarfo wants them to showcase the world their talents but not washing their dirty clothes on social media.
Gloria Osei Sarfo who also doubles as a presenter at Angel TV believes the actions of the two actresses and the songstress will push away investors because they will see Ghanaian entertainers as flappant personalities who find joy in insulting each other.
“So an industry person called me and said, Gloria why are you people sitting idle and unconcerned watching these young ones wash the industry’s linen in public?
Me: My dear what can we do?, let them explore, they will grow
Him: No no Gloria you still need to do something, i know you can, that’s why I called you, besides its your industry’s reputation at stake here
Me: Its very unfortunate, but what can we possibly do dear?
And he insisted that I do, and I said, well Fella is my girl, so I’ll talk to her, i don’t know about the others but I hope they come by too
Infact it took me days to realise the sense and the need to do this
So I chose this same platform to express my humble opinion
Well hi girls, trust you’re all doing great in your individual comfort zones?
My message is very simple:
You are pretty and very talented young ladies
And I expect that you show the world what you’re made of(But not the way you’re doing it)
Please, let’s accord our industry with some respect and decorum, and more especially some decency
Let’s not give room for the people out there to disrespect, disregard and underate our noble industries
Let’s not help the public/fans to finally give up on us
Is this a better way to revive our industry??
Well some of us have been in it more than a decade, and still relevant
Why? Not because we’re perfect, BUT simply because we’re HUMBLE and TOLERANT(which I presume you all are)
So WHY WHY WHY???
Why allow yourselves and your careers to be ridiculed like this?
If we did this, you wouldn’t have met it NO
