The songbird, Jackline Acheampong who is popularly called Gyakie is currently getting ready to release her latest EP dubbed ‘My Diary’ come Friday, July 22, 2022.

Ahead of that big release, Gyakie has been giving her fans and people who follow her music some insights into the songs on the EP and how they came about.

In a recent interview, she granted popular radio presenter cum DJ, Ebenezer Nana Yaw Donkoh aka NY DJ, the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards ‘International Collaboration of the Year’ award winner revealed that she sampled one of her dad, Nana Acheampong’s songs for the EP.

Gyakie disclose that she sampled one of her dad’s popular songs titled ‘Si Me So’ for the song ‘Far Away’ on the ‘My Diary’ EP.

Explaining why she chose that particular song, Gyakie mentioned that some lyrics in her dad’s song click with the idea she had for ‘Far Away’ which is why she decided to sample it.

The Flip The Music signed singer added that the dad her father heard the song, and he went crazy because he loved it. She added that ‘Far Away’ is actually her father’s favorite song on the upcoming EP.
