Senegalese-American singer, songwriter and record producer, Akon has opened up on the amount he gained after signing Sarkodie.

Speaking at a media briefing which was attended by zionfelix.net, the ‘Lonely’ composer stated he didn’t make a penny from Sarkodie after he was signed onto Konvict Muzik.

He made this known after Zion Felix asked him about whether there were any monetary gains following the signing.

The popular music star and entrepreneur stressed that it is their job to help people without expecting anything back.

Akon expressed his happiness for witnessing how successful Sarkodie has been. He professed his love for Sarkodie and disclosed his readiness to continue to help him.

He disclosed that his goal is to look at the bigger picture and make sure that every African artiste is well recognized and our culture is represented properly out there.
