The writer is Osei Chris Kofi. I have three strong passions in life — football, blogging and movies — in that order. I love spending time with friends talking about the important things in life and hate nothing more than ‘authority’ and hypocrisy. My personal believe in life is that once an individual sets his/her mind to achieve something, it is totally possible. And oh!, I am a strong Lannister, because I always pay my debt. The former General Manager of Bishop Daniel Obinim’s ICE TV and renowned movie editor, Samuel Owusu Asare aka T. P. Klan has lambasted movie director and producer Kofi Asamoah of Kofas Media for his inability to give up and coming actors an opportunity in his movies.

According to Sammy, Kofi Asamoah has consistently failed to give newbies the chance to show the world what they can offer the movie industry someday even though many of the stakeholders in the movie industry have on numerous occasions called on them to do so.

He expressed shock as to why his great feature movie, “Away Bus” which was a joint production with Peter Sedufia’s Old Films will have over twenty characters on the flyer, without the name of a single up and coming actor in there.

T. P. Klan stressed that it is probably so because his brother and colleague who has directed and produced many highly-rated Ghanaian movies is obsessed with the already established names in the movie industry.

He ended will with a call on Kofi Asamoah to try and use some of the new faces in his movies because it will help the industry in the near future.
