Ghanaian dancehall Musician Samiti Dagaati has rubbished claims that he was disappointed for not getting a ministerial appointment from President Akuffo-Addo.

Reports on social media claimed that the “My Own” hitmaker was promised an appointment by the president. They also claimed that Samini expressed disappointment when the rest of the ministerial nominees were announced and he wasn’t part.

In an Instagram post, the singer has denied the rumors. He said he wasn’t expecting any appointment and no one promised him either.

Samini also denied rumors that he has intentions of running for a political office on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party.

He called on the general public to disregard and treat such reports with all the contempt they deserve.

He was however quick to mention that should he change his mind to run for office, he will issue a public statement to that effect.
