Kumawood actor Bill Asamoah has cleared the air about actors and actresses refusing to attend premieres of movies they stared in.

Speaking at the press conference of Tracy Boakye’s new movie “Baby Mama”, Bill who is part of the cast of the movie stated that it is not by force for an actor to show up at the premiere of movies unless they are under contract to do so.

The seasoned actor debunked rumours that actors refuse to show up at movie premieres when their request for money from the producers of these movies are rejected.

He explained that actors and actresses are very busy people with very tight schedules therefore if someone refuses to be present during a premiere he or she might have a good reason to do so.

The Ghana tourism ambassador added that it is high time industry players moved from ‘family and friends’ to business when it comes to the movie industry.

He added that contractual agreements should be put in place to ensure that both parties know what to do and expect when it comes to movie production.
