Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie, has revealed what led to Black Sherif (Blacko) being featured on his forthcoming ‘Jamz’ album.

A few days ago, he dropped the tracklist of his new project.

It came to light that he featured Sherif on the 9th track titled ‘Country Side’.

Speaking on 3Music Network, the Sarkcess Music boss explained what moves him to do collaborations.

“If I want to do a song, it is rare that I would think that oh, this boy is the new hottest artiste I want to put him on,” he said.

Talking about his collaboration with Black Sherif, Sarkodie stated: “Big shoutouts to my superstar Blacko. Blacko hit me up last minute of this project, ‘Landlord I have to be on Jamz’. I said, pull up.”

He indicated that Blacko was a heavy influence on the ‘Country Side’ song and also inspired its direction.

Other artistes featured on the ‘Jamz’ album are King Promise, Oxlade, Cina Soul, Joeboy, BXBN, Kranium, Lojay and Ink Boy.

The album will be released on November 11, 2022.
