A candid revelation from Ghanaian rapper Joey B has shed light on a strained chapter in his relationship with D-Black.
During a discussion on 3Music, Joey B disclosed that a recent incident involving D-Black left him disappointed and caused him to lose some respect for the rapper. While he made it clear that the matter was connected to music, he chose not to reveal exactly what transpired between them.
According to Joey B, the bond they once shared is no longer as close as it used to be. These days, their interactions are limited to polite greetings whenever their paths cross.
“D-Black did something recently that made me lose some respect for him. I can’t even say it, but I still love him. Our relationship now is more like just cordial. When we see each other, we just exchange pleasantries,” he said.
Despite the setback, Joey B believes D-Black is fully aware of the incident and understands why it affected him the way it did.

The rapper stressed that he harbours no ill feelings and has made a conscious decision to move forward. He explained that embracing forgiveness has helped him put the matter behind him, even though the experience changed how he views his colleague.
“I know he definitely knows why, but it’s all good. Something happened between both of us and it’s music-related. I respect him regardless and I’ve also understood what forgiveness is, so I’ve moved past that,” he stated.
Although he considers the issue settled, Joey B indicated that people should always recognise the impact of their actions on others.
“I’m saying he’s aware of what he did because he’s a human and when you hurt someone, you should know,” he stated.
