Organizers for the Popular but Broke special revealed that Kwabena Kwabena was preferred from a pool of 20 elite artistes both for his quality and his unique ability to entertain all sorts of audiences. The silky-smooth singer is not only well respected in Ghana for his trademark distinct vocal range but has a fanbase that also cuts across different generations and profiles.

The Popular but Broke standup special features comedy royalty from four different generations, making it likely the most diverse audience demographic for a comedy event.
