It is normal for any artist to increase his charges anytime he feels like especially when he has become the toast of the nation and that is exactly what Kwesi Arthur according to report has done following his BET Viewer’s Choice nomination this year.

Renowned Takoradi based event organizer, music promoter and CEO of Sleeky promotions Sadick Assah has disclosed that Kwesi Arthur has doubled his charge after he had the BET nomination. Speaking on Zylofon FM, Sadick is reported to have said that he contacted the rapper for a show which he was asked to pay Gh15,000 but the cash doubled after the Tema-based musician had the BET nomination.

According to him, Kwesi pegging his charges around GH30,000 within a twinkle of an eye was a wrong move since artists also need concerts to get closer to their fans. The event organiser further advised the young ones who are making waves, Kuami Eugene, Kidi, King Promise and the others to be considerate when charging for shows because they will not reign forever.

Sadick Assah after the chat with Sammy Flex on the entertainment morning show continued his discussion on social media by writing ” @kuami Eugene, @Kidi music, @King Promise, @Kwesi Arthur, and all the rising artistes in GH, you guys should stop flexing around some offers from promoters. Rejecting 5K, 12K and 12K, advice yourselves well brothers. There is no pension pay in music. Be smart enough to collect all the money my brothers. Don’t allow brand to mislead you. Proper brand is when you don’t have the hit and still look good. Look at Nhyiraba Kojo,D Black, Reggie Rockstone and Captain Planet. I have spoken my mind. If you like take it”
