Reports went rife yesterday after it emerged online that professionally trained teacher cum comic skits creator, Michael Owusu Afriyie, who is popularly known as Teacher Kwadwo has been ‘sacked’ by his employers, Ghana Education
Service.

When Teacher Kwadwo made this information public on Saturday, December 18, 2021, he decided to be evasive about the reasons given for his sack, but all stated that the reasons were ‘very funny’.

As it stands, Teacher Kwadwo is still keeping those secrets to himself but zionfelix.net has chanced on a leaked document which states in clear terms why the GES is ‘sacking’ me already.

The document sighted lists the ‘very unprofessional, unethical and serious misconduct’ as follows.

  1. Mr Michael Owusu Afriyie, the P4 teacher of Akrofuom D/A Primary school was absent from school without permission for a tot. of 55 clays in the 2021 academic year.
  2. Mr Michael Owusu Afriyie refused to prepare a lesson plan as a professional teacher and ignored the directive of the District Director to prepare the lesson plan. He further refused to submit Lesson Notes for vetting by his Headteacher.
  3. Mr Michael Owusu Afriyie exhibited the highest level of insubordination towards the District Director and the School improvement Support Officer (SISO) responsible for his school as well as the Headteacher of his school, and that he in some instances refused to respond to queries served him by both the Headteacher and the SISO.  He further even refused to respond to a query issued to him by the District Director and in addition, refused to appear before a panel set up by the District Director to investigate his conduct. 

They however acknowledged that Teacher Kwadwo has done enough for the town too. Read the full report below
