At a time when the Ghana Music Awards is set to celebrate its twentieth anniversary, saucy songstress, Nana Akua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel has stated categorically that if we talk about legends who have left some indelible mark in the footprints of the Ghana music industry her name should also be added to the list.

Speaking to Zionfelix on the ‘Uncut’ show after her adult sex and relationship program on Onua FM recently, Mzbel stated that she came to this conclusion after the producer of her radio program decided to play her songs back to back on the show that evening.

Nana Akua added that listening to all the songs she has done in her over fifteen-year music career created some nostalgic feeling that cannot be comprehended. The ‘Tongues’ singer stressed that because all the songs she did were very good ones, the belief that she deserves the legendary status.

When asked if this statement was a call on the organizers of the prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards to recognize her and give her an award, the beautiful mother of one gave an emphatic negative answer. She told Zionfelix that her only joy is to put out good songs which will make people happy but not any awards. She, however, added that should they decide to give her an award befitting her, she will gladly take it.
