Ghanaian singer/songwriter, Lady Jay has suggested how plastic waste can be clampdown in the country.

Speaking to Zion Felix on the ‘Uncut show’ from the Labadi beach, Lady Jay said a lot of education needs to be done in relation to plastic waste, its maintenance and recycling.

She asserted that packaging foods in leaves and papers will be very helpful.

The ‘Freedom’ composer claims reverting to the old ways devoid of plastic objects will go a long way to preserve our water bodies and environment.

Lady Jay bemoaned that many Ghanaians cannot live the life they want to live due to this plastic waste canker.

She said tackling this menace is a holistic responsibility and the government of Ghana should do much to help eradicate this problem.

The singer has therefore thrown her weight behind Efia’s concert which will come off at the Accra Sports Stadium to create public awareness on September 28, 2019.
