Lynx Entertainment is moving away from artist management as the company shifts its focus toward music distribution, according to founder Richie Mensah.
Speaking on the Masterminds podcast, Mensah disclosed that the label, known for managing and developing some of Ghana’s biggest music acts over the years, is now concentrating on distributing music for hundreds of artists instead of directly handling talent management.
The change marks a significant transition for the company, which has played a major role in shaping Ghana’s contemporary music scene through artist development and production.
Mensah explained that while Lynx Entertainment adapts its business direction, his personal attention is increasingly being directed toward Lynx Electronics, a venture focused on audio technology and sound products.
According to him, the move into electronics is tied to a long-standing interest in science, engineering and experimentation that existed before his music career fully took off.

He revealed that growing up, he enjoyed researching and experimenting with electronic devices and was fascinated by understanding how sound equipment worked. That curiosity later led him into sound engineering, which eventually became the foundation for his latest business venture.
After more than two decades in music production, Mensah said the transition into audio technology feels like a natural progression of his work in sound and entertainment.
He noted that the focus is no longer only on creating music but also on building the technology through which audiences experience it.
Mensah also shared that he had set a personal goal years ago to retire from active music production by the age of 40, an age he has now reached.
As part of its expansion into electronics, the company has already introduced products such as the Lynx Reverb headphones and is preparing to launch additional speaker products, including the Lynx Octave.
The shift signals a new chapter for both Lynx Entertainment and Richie Mensah, with the company repositioning itself within music distribution while its founder explores opportunities in audio technology and innovation.
