Life is indeed what you make it. One gentleman whose life reflects this wise saying is Mr. Carlos Osei, the creative director and designer for Carlos Collection.
His success story is one that can push the youth to move beyond their comfort zones to secure a meaningful life for themselves.
Starting off as a young football player in Ghana, his life literally came to a standstill when his dexterity on the field couldn’t help him survive anymore.
His youthful exuberance to succeed financially caused him to follow his peers to venture into questionable lifestyles like smoking weed and defrauding people.
According to Carlos, a near death experience and an unexpected pregnancy caused him to reflect soberly on his life.
He then decided to learn a trade. With the help of an aunt, he enrolled as a tailor’s apprentice.
He had a tough time through his training days but he forged on till he graduated successfully.
Today, Carlos Collection is a go to shop for lots of people including celebrities not because Carlos was born with a silver spoon or had an easy life. He faced his demons and created his own destiny.
Speaking to Zionfelix uncut, a very grateful Carlos called for unity among Ghanaian designers and hoped his story will propel someone to walk the right path.
