The maiden edition of Miss SHS Ghana has been launched.
The launch was held at the Golden Bean Hotel in Kumasi on Saturday October 5, 2019.
Organised by De 90’s Queen Production, Miss SHS Ghana 2020 is set to take place in May 2020 with auditions kickstarting soon in Kumasi, Accra and Takoradi.
A total of 16 contestants would be selected and housed in Accra where the pageant will take place.
Speaking at the launch Ms. Sandrah Osei Amponsah, PRO for the organisation stated Miss SHS Ghana is aimed at inspiring the girl child to “aspire roles of entrepreneurship and leadership with distinctiveness”. She further stated their aim is to “instil good morales in the girl child and show these ladies the importance of education to their lives and the country as a whole.”
She envisioned Miss SHS Ghana to become “a renowned beauty pageant in Africa that promotes the girl child education.”
The pageant is open to all final year students in various Senior High Schools across the country.
The launch was well attended by a number of media personalities across the region.
