Ghanaian gospel musician, Anita Afriyie has shocked many people following a revelation on how her church treated her some years ago.

The ‘Adehye Mogya’ composer told Evangelist Sandylove Agyemang on The Journey Talk Show which was monitored by zionfelix.net how her Ghc 7 payment given to her by her church later ended in the pocket of her pastor.

A hard-working Anita Afriyie recounted waking up to the news of the church authorities’ decision to pay her an amount of Ghc 7 for her services to the church.

According to her, the decision was taken after the church elders realized her unemployment status and as a woman, she might need some amount to fend for herself and take care of other needs.

As time goes by, Anita landed a job at a communication centre which was fetching her an amount of Ghc 15.

Following this development, the gospel musician recalled being approached by the pastor she was staying with asking her to let them add the Ghc 7 she was receiving from the church to his salary because she was using water and had access to other utilities at the house.

Anita Afriyie in agreement told the pastor to inform his elders about it because she didn’t ask them for a payment in the first place.

She concluded that she was not worried about it and she won’t blame the pastor, adding that it is between him and the God he serves.
