Veteran Ghanaian music producer, Fred Kyei Mensah, otherwise known as Fredima, has revealed how Ofori Amponsah made him shed some tears.

In a lengthy post by the music producer sighted by zionfelix.net on Facebook, he said he couldn’t hold back his tears after Ofori Amponsah recognized his efforts in his musical career when he appeared on UTV’s ‘United Showbiz’ program hosted by Nana Ama Mcbrown.

“This evening I shed some tears as I heard Ofori Amponsah’s recognition of me on United Showbiz on UTV hosted by Nana Ama Mcbrown as the first person to have recorded him and introduced him to Lumba. This is the story. Remove the wax in your ears, the peck in your eyes and follow the story. If the story is nice and you want to appreciate me, you can send your momo to my number. Lol. I can inbox you my contact. Lol,” part of his post read.

Fredima narrated how the highlife musician came to him with his demo when he was schooling at the Konongo Odumase Secondary School in 1992.

He recounted buying a new keyboard which cost about Ghc 5000 at that time in order to record a new demo for Mr All 4 Real.

After staying awake all night programming Ofori Amponsah’s ‘Odo Mmra Fie’, the veteran music producer marvelled the work he did.

Fredima also flashed back to leading Ofori Amponsah to his idol, Daddy Lumba in his house in the early part of 1993.
