Young Ghanaian musician, Eugene Marfo, popularly known as Kuami Eugene, has stated that his victory at the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) will inspire others.

In a post sighted by Zionfelix.net, the Lynx Entertainment artiste believed other young musicians can win if they put in hard work.

He revealed the gate has now been opened for young musicians in the country to be recognized.

The ‘Angela’ hitmaker thanked Ghanaians and the organizers following his victory.

He wrote on Facebook: “I’m Humbled Thank You Ghana Thank You #VGMA. I’ve been a fragment of what Our people fed. Now The Gate Is Finally Opened, Any Young Fellow Can Win With Hard Work. God First Man Will Follow.#ArtistOfTheYear.”

Kuami Eugene won the biggest award at this year’s VGMA by clinching the artiste of the year.

He also won the highlife musician of the year. Kuami’s victory as the artiste of the year received mixed reactions after the winner of the artiste of the year was announced.

However, comments made by others opposing his victory seem not to have tickled him.
