Information gathered by zionfelix.net from a Joy News interview indicates that defeated assemblyman aspirant for the Adukrom Nima Electoral Area in the Ashanti region is set to file a petition at the Supreme Court to challenge the election results.
Nana Adabor Ibrahim Isaah Ampim, popularly known as Honorable Aponkye is alleging fraud in the elections, which is why he has decided to challenge the results.
Even though according to the final collated results of the Electoral commission he was beaten by Hon. Abdul Rashid who polled 1,056 representing 40%, Honorable Aponkye claims the results collated by his agents showed he won with a one-touch victory.
While he is yet to file his petition, it should be noted that according to provisional results from the Electoral Commission, he polled 234 votes, representing 9% of the total votes cast.
