Ghanaian actress, Vicky Zugah has shared her experience about women who are abused in their relationships.

In a post sighted by Zionfelix.net, Vicky stated that women who are abused in their relationships hardly listen to advice.

She recounted how most of these women refused to take her advice when she embarked on a campaign against domestic violence in the Volta Region.

She revealed some of them begged her to keep the stories a secret because they were afraid.

Vicky Zugah’s post comes after a report of a young man taking the life of his girlfriend in the Volta Region.

She wrote: “I was at the Volta region to campaign against domestic violence a little over 3yrs ago. Believe me when I say “no amount of advice can make an abused woman leave her relationship or marriage until she DECIDES to.

 “Some literary begged me to keep their stories a secret for fear of losing their breadwinners (the abusers)!!! 🤦‍♀️

 “At a point I gave up, patted myself and said “you’ve done your part Vicky. well done!…When they’re ready to leave, they will leave. Just pray for them to leave alive”.

 “And just this month three women have been killed by their abusive partners!!! Congrats Volta region 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ #leaveToLive #ReportAnAbuser.”
