Bro Sammy, SP Kofi Sarpong, and Obaapa Christy

Gospel musicians Obaapa Christy and Bro Sammy are very good friends but the former has never been heard commenting on any of the controversies which have hit her colleague and boon companion for the past months.

Sammy has been in the news for many bad reasons with highlights on his alleged pregnancy issue with one Ohemaa Jacky, alleged fake accident and others. Whilst most Ghanaians were talking against Bro Sammy about these issues and others, Obaapa Christy was at her cool corner thinking about her brand and family.

The songstress has told Zionfelix on the “Celebrity Ride Show” that it is time some Ghanaians stop poking their noses in the business of others. According to her, she does not judge others based on rumours.

The minstrel disclosed on the program that she prays for him whenever any issue concerning the fellow comes up instead of denigrating the individual. To her, it is not important to waste her breath on making life difficult for a friend when he is in trouble so she will plead with some Ghanaians to learn from her.

On how the two met and became friends, the popular gospel musician narrated that she was at Dan Bassey’s studio in Kumasi when Sammy entered and suggested they collaborate on a song because he had always wanted to have a joint with her.

Obaapa further said, Bro. Sammy after jokingly preventing her from walking out of the studio locked the gate and that made them record a song. She continued that a producer offered to produce the song right after they recorded it hence their joint album in 2015.

Bro. Sammy real name Samuel Opoku on Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix show months back also posited that he took Gh30, 000 but Obaapa Christy walked home with a whooping Gh40, 000 for the joint album released years back.
