Popular Highlife musician, Ofori Amponsah, has divulged one of his regrets in life.

He said in an interview on TV XYZ that he has regretted writing songs for some musicians.

Ofori disclosed that he wrote songs like Yaw Dompreh, Mmobrowa and Koforidua for Kofi B as well as all the songs except one on Kofi Nti’s debut album and his songs on a joint album titled ‘Wo Ho Kyere’ with Daddy Lumba.

He recalled only Samini wrote a verse on a song they recorded together since he started his music career.

“If I can reverse everything, I will decide not to help any musician because my help was a shortcut in the careers of a lot of musicians,” Ofori Amponsah stated.

He claimed to have gone beyond writing lyrics of a song to handing over completed songs to some of his colleagues to perform.

Ofori believes he would have become a bigger musician if he was assisted by his mentor, Daddy Lumba as he assisted others.

He further denied having a hand in Kofi B’s death—while hinting at the help he offered to him.

“Kofi B had had problems way back, he had issues with blood pressure and it was serious,” Ofori Amponsah disclosed.
