Mark Okraku Mantey has confirmed the root cause of Patience Nyarko’s ‘beef’ with Joe Mettle.
Commenting on Patience rants on Hitz FM’s ‘Daybreak Hitz’ program monitored by Zionfelix.net, the President of the Creative Arts Council said the female musician is bitter after Joe Mettle won a VGMA award over her.
He stated that Patience Nyarko’s ‘Obi Nyani Me’ was the biggest song that everybody knew on the street at the time the organizers of VGMA awarded Joe Mettle.
Mark recalled Ghanaian business mogul, Dr Osei Kwame Despite even requested for ‘Obi Nyani Me’ to be played for him on his birthday—and that should tell how big the song was.
Mark, who is part of the VGMA Board, recalled telling Joe Mettle he wouldn’t have voted for him if he was at the board room at the time they were voting.
He explained the VGMA Board voted for Joe Mettle at a time he wasn’t available and when they decide it is the final decision.
The popular music director/producer stated that the issue involving Patience Nyarko is a self-esteem matter.
According to him, Patience is fighting back because people are making it look like she is inferior to Joe Mettle after an award she deserved was given to the latter.
