President Akufo-Addo has announced the measures being put in place to ensure the eventual re-opening of cinemas, theatres and nightclubs in the country.
These entertainment avenues were closed following the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
Industry players anticipated the re-opening when the news about the President’s latest address was announced.
Disappointedly, President Akufo-Addo in his address Zionfelix.net monitored said cinemas, theatres and nightclubs remain closed.
According to him, the Government has engaged cinema owners and operators on a set of protocols and guidelines that need to be put in place and implemented by all operators before eventual re-opening.
“In the coming weeks, the Ghana Health Service and the Ghana Tourism Authority will be announcing these protocols and mandatory modalities, and work with the operators on a set of directives that will ensure the health and safety of all patrons and staff of all the facilities involved,” he said.
Nana Addo was optimistic that we can return our lives to normal if we co-operate and work together.
