The race for the person to become the next president of The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is currently hot with many of the aspirant going all length to discredit their opponents and competitors.

Veteran musician Bessa Simons, who has served as Obour’s deputy for the past eight years and is currently fighting to be in charge of the largest musicians’ body in Ghana has hit back at veteran reggae artiste Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi, who recently revealed on Zylofon FM’s “Showbiz Agenda” show that Bessa Simons can’t lead the body and that all his promises are just a facade.

While in his reaction to these assertions, Bessa Simons on the same platform in an interview with Sammy Flex stated that the veteran reggae musician knows nothing and as such people should not take anything he either says or does seriously.

The “Belembe” hitmaker revealed on the show that all Ras Caleb knows is to talk and talk without achieving any meaningful thing. He stated that when Ras was at the helm of affairs at the Greater Accra chapter of the Union, all he did was to talk and do nothing profitable for the union.

Bessa Simons emphasized that if the electorate voted for him (Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi) to become the next president of MUSIGA come June 26, nothing will change in the union.
