Russia’s military assault on Ukraine has continued into the 5th day as a humanitarian crisis continues to build up in the Eastern European country.
Thousands of civilians are leaving the country into neighboring countries in the middle of the crisis.
As the scramble to escape the country continues, Africans in Ukraine are raising concerns about racism. There have been reports about blacks being prevented from boarding trains and whites being allowed to cross borders first before blacks.
The issue has sparked outrage online as Africans lament against the discrimination against their compatriots in the war zone.
Sarkodie has also reacted to the situation after lawyer Gabby Otchere-Darko brought up the issue on Twitter.
The lawyer and media owner called on the Africa Union to speak up against the discrimination ongoing in Ukraine, a call which Sarkodie agrees to.
Responding to Gabby’s tweet, the rapper prayed asking God to be with Africans in Ukraine.
