Ghanaian rap legend, born Michael Owusu Addo but well known in the music space as Sarkodie has dropped a hint about a potential collaboration with legendary Ghanaian gospel artist Obaapa Christy.

The revelation has sparked excitement and curiosity among fans, as it marks another departure from Sarkodie’s usual rap genre, showcasing his versatility as an artist.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, the ‘Country Side’ hitmaker, revealed that he has collaborated with gospel powerhouse Obaapa Christy on a yet-to-be-released track.

Sarkodie, known for his lyrical prowess and dominance in the rap scene, has occasionally explored different musical styles throughout his career, including venturing into gospel tunes with the late Castro on ‘Adonai’, Kwabena Kwabena on ‘End Time’ and Herty Born-great on ‘Bebree’.

“Gave one of my fav heartfelt verses to the legend Obaapa Christy,” he wrote.
