Shatta Wale’s court case has been adjourned.

The popular Ghanaian musician, known in private life as Charles Nii Armah Mensah, is charged with the publication of false news.

He pleaded not guilty when he appeared before the court some months ago.

Three others, Kojo Owusu Koranteng, Shatta’s personal assistant, Eric Venator, a graphic designer, and Iddrisu Yussif, a beautician were also charged for abetment of criminal publication of false news.

They were granted bail after they denied the charge.

The case has been adjourned to May 25, 2022, by an Accra Circuit Court following the latest sitting.

The defence lawyers, led by Jerry Avenogbo wrote to the court to inform them about his client’s unavailability in the country.

The prosecutor, Chief Inspector Dennis Terkpetey, is also on a national assignment, according to reports.
