Award-winning Ghanaian musician and traditional leader Sparqlyn is once again preparing to make waves in the music scene as he gets ready to release a brand new single titled “Fameko.”
From dominating the airwaves with hardcore hiplife records during the Dunsin era to embracing Afrobeat sounds as a solo musician, Sparqlyn has consistently shown his ability to reinvent himself.

However, insiders say “Fameko” introduces yet another refreshing side of the artiste that fans may not have experienced before.
The upcoming song which is Highlife features talented songstress Ziya, whose vocal delivery is expected to complement Sparqlyn perfectly on the new record.
Production for the song was handled by Sparqlyn’s trusted and popular sound engineer Phills Beat.
Interestingly, Sparqlyn has deliberately chose June 8, 2026, as the official release date for “Fameko” because the day also happens to be the birthday of his last born child.
Unlike some of the other records he is known for, “Fameko” reportedly focuses deeply on love, romance, affection and emotional connection.

Over the years, Sparqlyn has built an impressive career both as a member of Dunsin and as a solo artiste.
During his group days, Dunsin gained recognition with songs such as “Ɔyɛadeɛyie,” “Falaa,” and “I Go Marry You,” helping the group secure nominations at the Ghana Music Awards and the 4Syte TV Music Video Awards.
The group also made history internationally after winning awards including Most Exciting Group in Africa and Most African Video at the MUSA Awards in South Africa.
As a solo artiste, Sparqlyn has equally continued to earn recognition for his contributions to music and youth empowerment. In recent years, he won the African Best Ghanaian Musician of the Year award at the African Performance Leadership Awards in Lagos, Nigeria, while also receiving honours for his contribution to Ghanaian and African music culture.
With such an impressive résumé already behind him, it is expected that “Fameko” would open another successful chapter in Sparqlyn’s career and possibly earn him even more accolades both locally and internationally after its official release.
