The Kumawood movie industry has been on countless occasions described as one that is made of a group of people whose only priority is to continuously put out movies with the same storyline on the TV screens with just the characters being different.
This claim which is turning out to be the gospel truth has caused actress and TV presenter, Emelia Brobbey to launch a full-scale defense for the industry she finds herself in.
According to the actress who spoke on the ‘Uncut’ Show hosted by Zionfelix, this claim is a complete fallacy. She explained that the Kumasi movie industry has some very top notch producers and directors who will not compromise on their work by putting out the same stories out there all the time. She stressed that such people make sure they at every point in time give people who watch the movies something spectacular and different to talk about.

The ‘Adofo asa’ actress was, however, quick to add that in as much as there are all these great producers and directors in Kumasi, there are also a few bad nuts as well. The Start Media boss stated that these bad ones are the people who on some occasions put out movies which are not really up to the standard of the Kumawood movie industry.

She ended by re-echoing her stance that it is totally untrue that the Kumawood movie industry always put out the same stories.
