Ghanaian actress Gloria Osei Sarfo is peeved at her colleagues who constantly say during interviews that there is no movie industry in Ghana.

The actress in an interview with Hitz FM’s MzGee expressed complete disgust for such comments from her colleagues when they fail to attend industry meetings. According to her, she gets worried when Ghanaian actors praise their colleagues from Nigeria forgetting they fought for the Nigeria movie industry to flourish.

She added that most Ghanaian actors are underrated because of how they carry themselves. The ‘Efiewura’ star asked her colleagues to come together and think alike to help develop the movie industry and stop their bossy behavior.

“We see our counterparts in Nigeria and we appreciate and enjoy what they worked for. That is not the way it should be and it breaks my heart. When they go for interview and they are asked how the industry is going, they will reply that is there an industry? We need to stop that talk.

Meanwhile there is an industry meeting and you are nowhere to be found. You tell somebody you are an actress in Ghana and hey will disregard you as if it is not a profession.

The way we are underrated is because of how we carry ourselves and how our industry is collapsing.

Why can’t we come together and build it? angry Gloria Osei Sarfo told MzGee.
