Sadiq Abdulai Abu, the boss of Group 3, the organizers of the annual 3music Awards has in the midst of the indefinite ban handed to Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy for the roles they played in marring the 2019 edition of the VGMA revealed that putting together an awards event in Ghana is one of the most difficult and dangerous things.

According to him, there have been times it gets very personal to the extent that some die-hard fans of these top music stars who fail to win an award at the main event send you death threats as a way of expressing their displeasure and disappointment.

The renowned entertainment critic told Zionfelix in the chat they had on the ‘Uncut’ show as a review of the 20th anniversary of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards that even though the 2019 edition of 3Music Awards came of some months ago, he still receives death threats from fans in his inbox on social media just because their favorite stars failed to win some specific awards.

Asked how he deals with such dangerous reactions from fans, Sadiq disclosed that he has decided to have a thick skin and also a strong mentality against such things, especially because, he does not have any say in the winners of the various awards they give out.
