Right after zionfelix.net reported that Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale have been asked to return the awards they won at the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards due to the scuffle which happened on the night of the event, many have questioned if the money voters spent to make their favourite artiste pick up the awards will be given back to them.

If you are one of the many Ghanaians asking this question then we at zionfelix.net are very sorry to let you know that money spent on voting for the two dancehall artistes will not be refunded. George Quaye speaking on Peace FM Thursday evening and monitored by zionfelix.net made it clear that voters will not have their money back. He explained to Kwasi Aboagye, host of the entertainment show that the fact that the public helped in selecting winners for the awards does not mean when the winners misbehave, they should not be punished.

George Quaye, spokesperson for the company admitted that the public helped in choosing the winner but quickly added that the punishment for both artistes is very necessary.

To him, they arrived at the decision to retrieve all awards the two musicians won on May 18 evening when the event was held because people will not respect the scheme should they keep mute about their actions.

Mr. Quaye continued that the public together with academy and board chose the winners for the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards so voters should not expect their cash back.
