The 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards ‘Artiste of the Year’, Black Sherif has cautioned all his fans and music lovers against comparing him to Sarkodie.

In the last few months, the comparison of the sensational young musician to Sarkodie, who happens to be a heavyweight and one of the most respected Ghanaian musicians international has dominated a lot of talks on social media.

Some netizens have even gone to the extent of suggesting that if not for the current clout Black Sherif has in the music space, Sakodie’s last album which is titled ‘Jamz’ will have been nothing to write about.

Most of these people have stated that the one song from the album which has chalked a lot of success in the space is ‘Country Side’ and this song had the magical touch of Black Sherif as well.

In the midst of all these suggestions, the ‘Kwaku The Traveler’ hitmaker has finally come out to speak.

While speaking on United Television’s ‘United Showbiz’ show which is hosted by MzGee, Blacko said that he has not reached anywhere in the music space for people to compare him to Sarkodie.

He made the point that the claims that he made Sarkodie’s Jamz Album are quite illogical because prior to his feature on that album, Sarkodie had released about 5 studio albums which were all successful without his input.

Black Sherif further reiterated that the comparison to Sarkodie is needless because he does not even know his destiny in the music business because he has only been here for four years while Sarkodie has been doing this business for more than a decade successfully.
