Ghanaian musician Lasmid has gor netizens talking after paying a surprising visit to hiplife legend Okomfo Kwadee at his home in Kumasi.
The visit saw Lasmid personally explain to Okomfour Kwadee how he served as the inspiration behind his latest song.
Instead of simply crediting the legend in interviews, Lasmid revealed that he decided to travel to Kumasi to meet Kwadee face-to-face, and tell him how he deliberately adopted elements of his unique style and delivery while creating “Biggest Nathaniel.”
The gesture has been widely applauded by fans, who described it as a rare show of humility and appreciation for one of Ghana’s greatest hiplife pioneers.
Kwadee, who has recently made great progress after receiving treatment at a rehabilitation centre following his long battle with drug addiction, warmly welcomed Lasmid into his home.
The atmosphere was filled with smiles as the two musicians spent time together.
One of the highlights of the visit was when Lasmid freestyled “Biggest Nathaniel” for Okomfo Kwadee.
The veteran musician listened attentively as the younger artiste walked him through the inspiration behind the record.
Lasmid also used the opportunity to shower Okomfo Kwadee with praise, describing him as one of Ghana’s most gifted musicians whose originality and lyrical brilliance have inspired countless artistes over the years.
