Legendary Ghanaian musician, Abrantie Amakye Dede has called on the government of Ghana to consider the legalization of Cannabis, which is locally called weed or wee.
The ‘Iron Boy’ hitmaker cited countries like the United State of America, Germany, the Netherland, and a few other countries that have legalized the smoking and use of the herb to back his plea.
He further pointed out that these countries are currently making a lot of money from these herbs via taxes which is something Ghana can also do.
Asked if he ever smoked weed in his life, Amakye Dede reluctantly admitted and added that it was just one time because he did not like how it tasted.
He was however quick to add that he does not in any way has a problem with anyone who decides to smoke weed.
When the question of musicians like himself smoking weed before they mount the stage to perform at various shows was put to him by Nana Aba, the multiple award-winning music star said he did not see anything wrong with it.
According to him, a lot of the time, it gives them extra energy to entertain their fans and music lovers.
