Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin emerged as one of the biggest winners at the 15th edition of the Ghana Movie Awards held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra, where he won the Best Actor in a Leading Role award for his performance in the movie Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

The award added to Lilwin’s growing list of achievements from his role in the movie, which has already earned him international attention, including recognition at the Sotigui Awards for his performance.

However, after receiving the award, Lilwin did not only celebrate the victory but also used the opportunity to send to throw jabs at some actors who have moved into creating YouTube skits.

Speaking in the radio interview, the actor stated that those who are hoping for his downfall will never succeed because his name carries a legacy that cannot easily be erased.

According to Lilwin, he sees himself as someone whose story is similar to one of the famous characters in the Bible, stressing that his name is one that can never be buried.

He explained that just like the biblical figure Job, whose story survived trials and challenges, he believes his own name will continue to remain relevant regardless of what happens around him.

Lilwin further insisted that nobody can bring him down because his relevance in the entertainment industry has been built over many years.

The actor also appeared to take a swipe at some YouTube stars who have become popular through comedy skits, questioning whether any of them have achieved the kind of recognition he recently received.

He argued that because he remains relevant in the industry, he was able to beat many of the new faces and online personalities to win the award.

“Who said we use YouTube to win best actor?” he questioned, making it clear that he believes awards and industry recognition still separate him from many upcoming entertainers.

The actor also revealed that he has issues concerning some of his awards, claiming that three of his awards have allegedly been diverted.

He, however, said he will speak about those matters at the appropriate time after completing his current promotional activities with electronics brand Hisense, which signed him for the World Cup period.
