A photo of award-winning gospel musician cum leader of the Prophetic Hill Church, Sonnie Badu showing off a tattoo of a lion on his hand went viral ahead of his mega concert in Côte d’Ivoire.

The numerous social media users who reacted to the photo did not understand why a man of God would decide to get a tattoo on his hand and happily flaunt it.

Reacting to all the backlash on social media in a recent interview with Zionfelix, Sonnie Badu stated explicitly that the opinions that have been shared on social media about his decision to get a tattoo is of no concern to him.

He stressed that once his wife and family do not have any qualms with the tattoo, he does not really see why the opinions of others should matter to him.

Explaining further from the Biblical perspective if he feels it was right to get a tattoo, Sonnie Badu made the point that there are many quotations from the Bible that will either support something or describe it as wrong.

However, he feels that the body is something that does not really matter when it comes to man’s relationship with God because after all when one dies, it is the soul that will go to heaven and not the body.

The ‘Baba’ hitmaker went on to say that he believes it is time to change the mindset of people with regards to how they view things like tattoos to be a sin against God for there are many people without a single tattoo who sin against God a lot.
