Veteran Ghanaian actor Paa George who turns 81 on May 10 this year has called on wealthy men in the country to come to his aid.

Real name George Appiah Kubi, he told actress and TV host Gloria Osei Sarfo when she presented goodies and cash to him on her birthday that he and many of colleagues have been forgotten in the country. He continued that several music legends were honoured months back and are receiving token each month from Assin North MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong but he is not enjoying such benefits.

Paa George during the meeting with Gloria and the press which included Zionfelix.net called on rich men in the society and government to come to his aid whilst he is alive but not when he has passed on. To him, it will be irrelevant for well-wishers to splash cash at his funeral when he is no more instead of donating to him now.

Using songstress Ebony’s death as a case study, the veteran actor posited that the ‘Maame Hwe’ songstress did not enjoy any of the cash the wealthy men and government presented to her family after her accident which occurred on February 8 on the Sunyani-Kumasi road so he does not want same to happen to him.

Aside Paa George who received items and cash from Gloria Sarfo on her birthday which occurred on April 4, other actors like Maame Dokono, Grace Nortey, Fred Amugi, William Addo, Prince Yawson aka Waakye, Mcjordan Amartey aka Sugar Daddy, Kojo Dadson, Rama Brew, Papa Nii, Dzifa Glikpoe and Sam Adjetefio aka Taxi Driver also enjoyed same benefits from the Angel TV presenter.
