Kumawood actor, Kwaku Manu has predicted the collapse of the Ghana Movie Awards.
He told Zion Felix on the ‘Uncut Show’ that the Ghana Movie Awards will be collapse like how the actors collapsed Kumawood awards.
The popular Kumawood actor emphasized that actors are the major stakeholders in the award scheme so if the organizers refused to treat them better, they will also advise themselves.
Kwaku Manu bemoaned it is bad for the organizers to use the names and images of actors to make money and disrespect them at the same time.
He said apart from the plaque, they don’t earn anything from such awards.
Kwaku Manu revealed the Ghana Movie Awards is on the verge of collapsing as many people are losing interest in it.
He advised the CEO of Ghana Movie Awards, Fred Nuamah to stay aside for someone who understands business to take over.
Kwaku Manu also lamented about the discrimination against Kumasi-based actors whenever they attend the awards ceremony.
