After topping charts, enjoying massive airplay on the radio, night clubs, events and other areas in the country, a section of Ghanaians are yet to come to terms with why Wendy Shay’s song ‘Stevie Wonder’ was not nominated in any of the categories of the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

A lot of questions have been raised on this issue after the lists of nominees were unveiled by the organizers.

In a Facebook post sighted by Zionfelix.net, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Media Excel, Kwasi Ernest sought for reasons why the song didn’t get any nomination.

He tagged a well-versed music producer, Fred Kyei Mensah to get his view on the subject.

The Media Excel CEO wrote: “Fred Kyei Mensah is there any reason why Wendy Shay Steve Wonder song didn’t get nominations or because of sins of our fathers am shocked.”

In an earlier publication on Zionfelix.net, a list of songs snubbed by the organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards featuring Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were furnished.

We concluded that the ban placed on Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy following their fracas at the 2019 edition of the award scheme is a great factor leading to such songs being ignored by the organizers.
