RuffTown Records artiste, Wendy Shay, has opened up on why she is not charging for her concert.

She had her debut concert in 2018 and followed with another in 2019 before a hiatus due to COVID-19. All these concerts were free for patrons.

As she is preparing for the 2023 edition, Wendy disclosed why she is not charging in an interview.

“They stream my music.

“I was the topmost streamed female artiste last year [2022] so I thought, ‘Why not do something for my fans?” the ‘Masakra’ singer stated on 3Music.

She further appreciated the support given to her as a musician.

“It’s very big to me. I mean I am who I am because of [them]. They play a very big role so I feel like that is the best way I can give back to them for them to feel the connection [we share] and know that I think about them too.”

Coming off on Saturday, January 7, 2023, Medikal, Fameye, Kelvyn Boy, Mr Drew, Lasmid, AK Songtress, Eno Barony and other artistes will be supporting the ‘Shay Concert’.
