The 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards announcement which took place on Thursday, March 28, 2024, has seen a lot of reactions as it has become accustomed to the awards scheme.

A lot of industry players and artists have been questioning the nominees list because some obvious names that deserved nominations were shockingly ignored.

One of the numerous people who have questioned the list is award-winning Ghanaian musician, Amerado.

The Burnerz Music Group artist amid the numerous concerns about why he was snubbed in categories like Songwriter of the year category, Record of the year, Most popular song of the year and Artist of the year, also took to his social media pages to complain. 

In his post seen by zionfelix.net, he asked the board and academy of the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards why they failed to nominate the original version of his “Kwaku Ananse” song.

His question has seen many of his fans join in the chorus as well and many of them have suggested that the TGMA nomination team did a poor job with the names they presented, especially, in the Songwriter of the Year and the Most Popular Song of the Year categories.

The original “Kwaku Ananse” has been a reigning champion on the charts for weeks, establishing itself as the undisputed number-one song of the moment in the country.

The song has garnered over 6 million streams on Audiomack, 4 million on Boomplay, and underscoring its widespread appeal and popularity among online music enthusiasts.

Complementing the audio success is the official music video for “Kwaku Ananse” on YouTube with 1.5 million views and counting.
